Domenico Prò (1817-1875)

Domenico Prò, figlio di Francesco e Pasqua Massari, nasce a Ferentino il 27 Gennaio 1817. Cantante cresciuto sicuramente, religiosamente ed artisticamente, presso il locale seminario vescovile o presso una delle parrocchie locali. Si trasferì a Roma e venne ammesso tra i cantori della Cappella Giulia in Vaticano. Si perfezionò nel canto sotto la guida dei migliori maestri dell' epoca, partecipò come cantante, anche solista in molte opere di Bellini tra cui la “Beatrice di Tenda“, Rossini e Donizetti.
Partecipò a grandi allestimenti di opere con i migliori artisti del periodo. Morì a Roma intorno al 1875.
